| We make it no secret how much we love these guys, so it was a happy day in the studio when Finn and Co. called to ask if we’d be interested in teaming up on their follow-up to 2006’s breakthrough hit “Boys and Girls in America.”
There’s no shortage of fodder for ideas in a THS album, and after batting around a handful of potential directions with Craig and Tad we focused on collaborating with photographer Judson Baker to create a landscape that mirrored themes in the album’s lyrics.
Not many clients would entertain the idea of a cover that employs a blind varnish for their band name and a symbol for the album title. Then again, not many bands are as gutsy as The Hold Steady. |
